Thread: Obtain original place of email

I used Gmail but now I want to know can I find place of sender. As some doubtful mails I am getting from last few days. So please tell how can i get the original location of an email by an IP address? Any help will be appreciated.

For this open Gmail account and open email in question. Click down arrow beside Reply link and choose show Original from list. Search lines of text which start Received: from ".There are many receipts in header of message. As in message header has IP addresses of all servers involved in routing email to you. To get first PC that sent the email, you should get the farthest is DOWN.

After Originating IP address search where that is from. Do this by execute place lookup on IP address. Few sites for this are IP2Location and GeoBytes IP Locator. After entering IP address to these sites, you get necessary information about it.
