Thread: Unable to download large files

I am Windows XP user and my default browser is Firefox. I have problem with downloading large amount of files. When I download small amount of file it is being download but when I go to download large amount of files (20 MB) after some time it stop downloading. I can’t figure out why I am facing such problems and hence need your help in solving the issue. Please suggest some solutions.

Try to restore the default Firefox download folder settings with the following process:

Type about:config in the address bar. A record of preferences will be showed. After that reset the following preferences that have a user set status:

1. browser.download.dir

2. browser.download.downloadDir

3. browser.download.folderList

4. browser.download.lastDir

5. browser.download.useDownloadDir

Then, you can configure back to your chosen download folder location, if you want to modify that in your Firefox options/preferences.
