Thread: Cannot to Internet in Ubuntu 10.04

I was using windows XP on my Dell Mini 1010 but i have just upgraded it by installing Ubuntu 10.04 OS. I font know how to internet settings do that. I observe that even when I connect live internet connection there is no active connection shown in it. I am unable to connect internet it as I would like to update some packages in that.

Connecting through network card is the very simple option when you just attach a network cable to the PC. To network card to work, you should also use the automatic setup, or specify the options manually. If this is your case, access to the Internet you have already configured. If not, enter the preferred parameters, their values gives by the ISP.
