Thread: Gmail Access

I am Mac OS user i am looking to transfer my emails from Gmail to Mac mail because i feel If because of any reason, or technical occurrence at Gmail account get mix up, or database cut empty then i have nothing more .Anybody knows how to POP email archive from Gmail also tell me about IMAP . Thanks in advanced.

Try this:
• Select Settings from the top Gmail navigation bar.
• Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
• Ensure Enable IMAP is chosen under IMAP Access:
• Click Save Changes.

As per I know you can transfer your Gmail emails with IMAP.IMAP, or Internet Message Access Protocol, allows you download messages from Gmail's servers on your PC so you can access your mail.
