Default Windows7 visibility on the network

    hello everyone....

I have the following problem. In my network at home I use a computer with Windows 7 and three older Windows XP. 7, I can "see" the other computers in the network environment. But my computer 7 is not on any of the XP computer on the network. Did I do something incorrectly configured? 1000 different settings have been tried - so far without success. Does anyone have any idea?

    hi!

I'm assuming that you use a domain. Are the computers in the same workgroup?

Which network type have you selected during the installation of Windows 7? By default, 'public network' is proposed. If you chose this, it is possible that no shares were created and why the computer is not visible. Give just some directory free and then look again.

I do not use correct domain. All PCs are in the same workgroup and on each machine are sharing enabled or folder is shared.

The "Network Type" is set to home network. I Configuration all network cards manually (static IP's, same gateway) but even if everything on "automatic" I'm not solve the problem.

    I am really at a loss ...

I have it set up as a home network ... Worked for me, at least with Win XP Pro.

Can you ping the other computer or the router? Does the Internet from the Windows 7 computer from? Do you see the router (if you are using one) as a device in Windows 7? Perhaps there is a problem with IPv6, which is enabled by default in Win 7.

Also I would be interested, as is configured for you all.
Lead in the command shell (DOS box) but once your ipconfig / all from. With eg ipconfig / all> c: can ipconfig.txt \ man redirect the output to a text file.
