Thread: Change your Orkut Theme

Themes add spice to every site that you work on. They make the pages attractive to work on and also invite the attention of friends and other people in your network. The theme you select reflects your persona and state of mind to some extent. This feature has been used on a huge scale on sites like Hi5.com, MySpace.com and Multiply.com among others.

Now that Orkut's usual blue color was getting a bit too stale for users and the site administrators as well, it was time for a change. The cool new feature is available in Orkut's new rendition that's called Orkut Beta. You can change the theme of your homepage and add flavor to your otherwise boring profile page.

o Click on "Home" to visit your homepage.

o Look for "Change theme" on your top bar and click on it.

o Click on a radio button that corresponds to the theme of your choice.

o Click "Update".



The theme will be applied to your profile. You can also undo this action by following the similar procedure. o Click on "Change theme" on your "Home" page.

o Check the "Disable themes" checkbox.

o Click "Update".

The themes will not appear on your profile. You can enjoy the classical blue color of Orkut. The trend of putting themes on Orkut profiles is picking up since it is a new feature and there are just a few themes available in Orkut.
It is advisable to avoid themes from secondary sources and use only those that are provided by Orkut.
