Microsoft to launch within weeks Security Essentials, a comprehensive package of security. The announcement caused concern among companies in the industry especially because the program is completely free.
Although it has raised the issue for years Microsoft has not released a full-featured antivirus program. Perhaps the software giant did not want to intrude too much to companies that live on computer security, including Symantec, McAfee, F-Secure, Panda and others.
However, this situation will change over the coming weeks. In a comment directed to the beta testers of the security package Microsoft Security Essentials Microsoft writes that the final version of Microsoft Security Essentials is available to the public within the next few weeks.
The safety package includes detecting and removing Trojans worms and viruses and is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.In many ways, is a continuation of Microsoft One Care that Microsoft marketed to 30 June this year. That day the program was discontinued permanently to be replaced by the free package is announced at this time.
Security Essentials should not be confused with Windows Defender, which comes with Windows Vista and Windows 7 and is also available in down loadable version for XP. This program only protects against spy ware and is not able to eliminate worms and viruses.
However, independent comparative testing and have come to another conclusion let's assume that Microsoft has managed to develop an even better solution than the products of experts under the heading of computer security.
