We shall start by creating a new account file for an individual, for instance, 'Ram Kumar'. Go to 'File I New account file' and in the dialog box choose 'Bank Account'. Before entering the account details, we will have to add particulars of Ram's personal details such as his name, address, phone numbers and e-mail address.

Go to 'Edit I Preferences I Addresses & Titles' and type in the account holder's name, 'Ram Kumar' and his common and secondary addresses. In 'Currencies', click 'Add' and select 'India' from the list of country names, fill in 'Rs' as currency sign and press 'OK'.
