Default Internet Bandwidth diminishes after linking up router.

I have a Cisco wireless router and that is having the Firmware v1.1.08. I don’t use some software for the router. It is just operating with Windows 7 64bit retail via wood files proposed for numerous twist. I have the Brighthouse as wire net supplier. They are charging me for 15Mbps speed. I just maintain testing it flanked by 14-15Mbps. I renowned that this speed is stripped so I have altered to 25Mbps but I couldn't get test results as anticipated. I demonstrated the account settings. Lastly I find to do few speed tests sidestepping.

The trouble looks to be that this is not the quarry of the router, but is the subject of any misconfigurations or wrong cabling. The speed of the quarry about how to configure the connection among the router, wire modem or the net and the machine. Can you confirm if IPS activated for router otherwise not? When you are testing speed for the router you have to notice how it is joined to the router?

I guess the matter of getting low speed is since you are having few fault connection settings to the router. You require to do the connection right. If you affiliated unswervingly to the Net with wire router then confirm you have connected to the WAN port not the LAN port. The stream edition of firmware you are apply is up to date edition? Net connection is wired or wireless?

If the IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) changed on the router then dumb bandwidth. This is safe net app that notice the meshwork and / or machine shock malicious actions. If enabled on your system, then you should see entire information packets incoming / outgoing and inspect it for malicious things. You require to upgrade to the new IPS signature in order to improve the safety and quick scan of the packages.

If you guess it's just the trouble of low speed inducing router then hard reset the router, just configure WAN and wireless settings will not connect via the Ethernet port. After this, I anticipate that you will be furnished to reach speeds close to 25Mbps. If you apply a wireless connection, then you will ne'er be able to get more than 20Mbps of throughput due to the specs.
