Javascript is responsible for many of the clever effects we take for granted on the internet but not all of these are
welcome. That's not to say that they are malicious but it can be very frustrating when a website changes th size of its window, disables the right-click menus or hides or changes status bar.
Turning Javascript offis too extreme a measure and will stop man) websites working properly. Instead Firefox can disable some of these more irritating commands. Click on the Tools menu and then on the Content tab. The box labelled Enable Javascript should have a tick in Click on the Advanced button. Click to remove the ticks in any of the options you want to disable. Click on OK in both windows when you have finished to save the changes.
