Thread: Blocked website

I use the web host 34sp.com for my website that I ave created using Microsoft Expression Web. All has been fine until recently when I wanted to make some changes to the website.


I tried to upload the changes to the website but Expression Web told me that it was unable to log in. I double-checked the account details and they are correct.


I also tried accessing the website using an alternative Dick the name of an Acl:iveX control above and then click Delete.
program, Filezilla, but with no more success. Am I stuck with website as it is?

The docwnents, images and videos that make up a webSite are transferred to the web host using a technology called ftp that stands for File Transfer Protocol.

The usemame and password supplied for accessing ftp should kept as safe as possible because it would give almost complete con over your website ifit fell into the wrong hands. Some web hosts, 34sp.com included, have gone a step further and have disabled ftp you have to turn it on from your account pages. This adds another password to the process, making' safer.

Go to the 34sp.com website an click on Login at the top right of page. Enter your account details and click on Log in. Click on Hosting in the Products section 0 the right-hand side and then click on the website you want to access Scroll down to the FTP Access section, select Enabled Today and click on Update. This will automatically disable ftp at midnight. Other web hosts use similar systems.
