Already in 2008 there were reports that Microsoft had made an offer for Yahoo. The offer was not accepted at that time. Now there are again reports that Microsoft is working on a new bid.


As the Wall Street Journal reported that Microsoft is currently working with several partners on a new bid to take over the Internet portal Yahoo. The Journal writes that at least nine other companies are interested in a takeover of Yahoo.

But the takeover was not synonymous with the demolition of all communications between Microsoft and Yahoo. Microsoft said in July 2009 with Bing has been awarded a 10-year contract to get the search on the Yahoo site.
