Thread: Does all pc have a modem

I don't have much knowledge about machine, so that's why I required to recognize does all pc have modem in it?

No, Only laptops arrive with inbuilt modems. So that they can be connected with codeless network .Few of the previous machine had modem in it, but not anymore.

Most of the former machine had dial-up modem , they had same ports like Ethernet card. Now machine only have Ethernet port so that you can connect to most immediate net modems or routers. If you have DSL connection then they give classify box that is the real modem. Sometimes modem arrive with router in it. it assistance you to connect to net to WI-FI or Ethernet wire to your phone-lines.

Entire the laptops have codeless net cards. According to the brand of the laptop they will be marked somewhere on the sides of the laptop. Formerly they have “on/off” switch for Wi-Fi.
