Setting up a home network can be complicated, with lots of things to think about and settings to change. Fortunately, Windows XP has a tool that can help, but it's a little hidden. Open Windows Explorer, right-click My Network Places and choose Properties. In the Network Connections window click 'Set up a home or small office network' to start a wizard that will guide you through the process of getting your computer networked.
