Default Mechanical logon for computer with a domain

    Hello,

I have just received a computer from my friend and it was already connected to his work domain. I also have his username as well as his password. I desire to delete the domain and to do a mechanical logon. I have undergone into the registry.exe and tried to do a forcelogon and as I have read that on the internet. It would work on it. What I would like to do is to remove the work domain? Or if not probable find an easier way for doing it automatic logon and then bypass the domain logon. I am unable to disable the security which features where you have to do ctrl+alt+del to logon.

    Thanks for any help.

Control Panel-System-Change Computer Name (if memory serves - I'm not on a Windows PC right now). Alter the Domain to Workgroup wherein you can call it as well as whatever you like to do it. Reboot it.

After altering from a Domain to a Workgroup as above, you can open the control panel again. Select the Users Icon from there verify with the check box which is used for logging on by just pressing the ctrl-alt-del. It may also be under the superior properties of the User account.
