Restricted to no connectivity in computer

. I'm not new with the working of computers, but I have run into this problem but I cannot seem that it is working as before, and I am actually eager for some important help. I have a Linksys wireless router and running it on time when ever digital cable/high speed internet. My desktop also runs off when the wireless connection with no problem at all, but when I tried to make use of my laptop or somebody else's laptop then I am unable to create a connection for my laptop. I am also receiving the limited to no connectivity while connecting. I have also read in some of the post over here for fixing the problem, but it did not work for me at all. Will someone please provide me some help for fixing the problem?

Verify with the top expect which might be an inequitable encryption key or MAC filtering enabled on the router.

You can also login to the router and then disable the encryption as well as the MAC Address filtering. If the connection is successful then at last you can surely re-enable the encryption and reconnect it to the computer.

There is some reason where I am also having problem with my logging into my router. I also aware that it the normally the address must be 192.168.1.1 or alike in deviation of it. Any suggestions are most welcomed?

You can do it by following the below procedure:
Start, Run, CMD, OK for opening of a command prompt in the computer: (For the Vista users type CMD in the Search box and then Start)

Type the following command in the command prompt:

IPCONFIG

The Default access will be your router's IP address for the router.

I believe that your router must be dying. Try to reset or power the cycle again. If that too doesn't get better the things then try a reset to the factory default settings in it.

Hi,

Did you try to reset it?
Try using dynamic IP too.

Please reply how you solved it.

Regards
Ben Thomas
