Default Connecting of internet to XP 64bit

Hi, I have recently installed Windows XP 64 bit to my machine...I’ve an orange broadband connection that works as I’m making use of it on my laptop. I had earlier making use of vista, which will configured the connection for me...but by using the XP 64 how can I select the broadband??

The connection is also a wired one, I also seem to be getting if I go to my network places, its states that the LAN connection is connected and firewall too, even though there are no ackets which are been sent or received, and when I open the internet explorer it will not permit me to connect to the internet....

I generally have to set up the connection and then enter the security code from the back of the router, but how can I do this by using XP 64 bit??

    Any help would be appreciated!

Is it wired or wireless? I guess there might be your driver issue.

Hold the Windows key continuously and press the R key, then type the CMD for opening of a command prompt:In the command prompt window which opens, then type the following command in the window as follows:

Note: That there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command.

    IPCONFIG /ALL

After entering it in the window Right click at the command window and then Select All, then press the Enter to copy the stuffing to the clipboard.Paste the results in a message here.

If you are on a machine which is not having network connection, then make use of a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk for transferring of text file with the information which is been permitted for pasting it here.
