Thread: Lights carry on going off of ADSL and Internet

Hey, I’ve internet connection for about a year now, it's a local Post Office one, and I’m having a Netgear ADSL 2 Modem DM 111 PSP in my computer. For last 2 days I’m continuously losing my connection at casual times, and then gaining the connection again but after sometime. On the router the ADSL icon as well as the Internet icon just keeps going off and I'm cut off from the internet, then it casually comes back on. I've also phoned my ISP up and they told me that nothing is wrong with it on their side, I've innumerable times the resetting of the modem and router, turned them both off for 30 secs, even hours some times but still coming across the same problem, I've also ran a virus scan check, but nothing found there. My router is also a Belkin N Wireless Router Model no: F5D8233 - 4v3, I've never come across such type of problem earlier. This has just twisted up out of the blue, can anyone please help? Does anyone else has this problem, or had and fixed.

Well, this is apparently amazing wrong with the modem, the inside wiring, or the ISP connection. I'd check and verify that ALL of the phone equipment apart from the ADSL modem which has the proper filters been installed in it. You also force to try disconnecting all the phones for a test and see if that changes it. If this is an ISP supplied modem, I'd persist on a substitute, since that's a major guess here.
