    Default Securing of my network

I make use of WIN XP with a help of satellite modem as well as a router for my wireless home network. My condition is that; I also have a youngster who makes use of my network since he is the only who has a dial up at home. I let him to do it, but his parents aren't real computer know-how as to what's obtainable out there and that kind of difficulty for me. I also don't mind him using my signal and I don't want to secure it for that cause. They are the only neighbors around me so I don't worry about the others who are making use of it either. Is there any way for finding out that when he's on and if so is there as way I can tell where he's surfing so neither of us runs into trouble for downloading the music or other thing he shouldn't on my connection?

    Thanks

As for history, your router must preserve the router logs for you to see uptime, usage stats and websites visited by each system by making use of your signal. Not confirm about how to check real-time still. You can all the time enable the QOS if your router supplies it, so it will prioritize the traffic based on usage type. This may not be a bad idea to turn on the contented sorting as well; just to confirm that you're not purposely giving this youngster access to illegal or any other obscene content.

You might also wish to make confirm that you have a software firewall running on your own computer purely in case some youngster's interest requires to locate out what is on the neighbor's computer.
