The differences between POP3 and IMAP E-mail

The POP3 and IMAP may have heard the term in relation to the type of email account email. However, there is no difference whether there is an advantage over the other one? Can I use? If a choice? Let's find out. Of the POP3 is most commonly used? It is easy to use and configure. For a while TEITA was your only option. POP clients are available for almost all of the operating system. Examples include Outlook and Eudora. Account in the local computer and download your POP e-mail address remain. This, after most of the time downloads are deleted from the mail server. POP 1 and not be able to download the file to your computer, even from different computers to check email after you have downloaded from your computer one at a disadvantage. IMAP tends to be slower than that.

The IMAP method is used on the server will keep messages in all mailboxes. So that you can access from anywhere on the Internet and e-mail. POP of IMAP is faster, without having to download the entire message to the mail client reads the header of every message. The IMAP and POP and the customer support and the like. To keep one's heart, on the server disk space allocation is the amount may not be sufficient to retain all email. From fear, not only the best to check the POP, using a single computer, your e-mail from multiple locations to work. Plus it is also fast.

For the case of IMAP email from multiple locations to best suit your needs by email to confirm the trip. Type of account must be provided to the ISP / IMAP to use.
