If you don’t want other users to access your shared data on your network but you still want to get on the network and this is the way you can get as Windows XP home edition provide you with simple file sharing which provides very little security and some configuration setting you have to just right click on the folder or drive which you want to secure and share it on the network enter your share name for your particular folder or that drive and set a dollar sign at the end of the name and click ok and you have finished with it.
