    Default How do I configure intervlan routing on an existing topology?

    Kindly refer to my attached network topology of the site the network topology consists of 3 sites connected to all other by means of serial microwave links the site is in charge for routing the traffic among the other 2 sites ( B and head office) the Aand B sites, each consists of 9 or more access catalyst 3550 switches. All connected to a core 4507r switch which is then connected to a 2600 Cisco router which is then in charge for moving traffic to the other site using the micro wave links, all switches as well as the core has been allocated with active IPs using the DHCP server, therefore all VLANS configured on the switches are local VLAN1. All switches including the core has been configured with the default settings.

    I have been allocated to fine-tune the network, first I had to make a decision how to direct or address VLANS since all departments access or share the similar resources, I have been told that there is a near by project to handover IP telephony to the site afterward, therefore I should put a VLAN for voice into supposition.

    However, the IP address schemes of the site is as follows:
    for A 10.232.0.x--- static IPs assigned for servers and default gateway (router)
    10.232.1-2.x -->> this should be dynamic IPs assigned by the DHCP to the hosts and switches

    for B -- >> 10.232.100.x--static ips assigned for servers and default gateway (router)
    10.232.101,102.x >> this should be dynamic ips assigned by the DHCP to the hosts and switches

    for head office-- >> 10.232.200.x ->>static ips assigned for servers and default gateway (router)
    10.232.201,202.x -->>this should be dynamic ips assigned by the DHCP to the hosts and switches

    The routers static IPs are:

    A router-->>10.232.0.1
    B router -->>10.232.100.1
    C router -->>10.232.200.1

    I have been given a range of 10.232.3.x for A, 10.232.103.x for B and 10.232.203.x for C to assign static IPs to the switches for management instead of dynamically being assigned from DHCP

    My question is as follows:

    I need a case scenario or case study with configuration examples, lets say if we have the following
    2 catalyst access switches --> core switch-->> router -------- serial link ---- router<<--core switch <<--2 access catalyst switch

    Want the core switch to handle the inter vlan routing
    Vlan 1 ( native) for management
    Vlan2 for Data
    Vlan 3 for Voice

    How should i configure this regardless of the IP address assigned?

    Kindly give a case scenario with config example or kindly apply configuration scenario on the attached topology. I know its a little bit complex but i need your help and expertise especially that the deadline for this task should be only be the end of this week!

    I also need some fine tuning like :

    Where to apply port security, VTP pruning, STP,RSTP and all of this stuff on switches giving some configuration examples also What configurations should be made on the router, core switches and the access switches to manage routing of VLANS bearing in mind that all of them are catalyst and multilayer switches?
    Waiting for reply
