Kindly Note: This method changes the IP address of a PC on a wired or else wireless network. If you desire to alter the IP address of your internet connection, you should contact your service provider, as they're the ones who make use of control over this.
To change your network IP address in Windows XP, Vista, or 7:
1. Just press the Windows Start button and select the Run from the start menu.
2. And type as cmd and press the Enter key. This will loads you’re DOS prompt
3. And type as ipconfig /release then press Enter. This disables your internet connection
4. Set off to your desktop, as well as right-click on something called Network Place or My Network Places (If you're using Windows Vista or 7, look for the Network and Sharing Center through Control Panel)
5. And click on the Properties. You must now see somewhat called Local Area Connection or else something related
6. And right-click on your connection (titled Local Area Connection if you're using an ethernet cable otherwise Wireless Network Connection if you're on Wi-Fi) and click Properties
7. Below the General tab, only double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

10. And press the Tab. You'll perceive the Subnet Mask section automatically fill sup with numbers
11. And finally click on OK.
12. And it will get you back to the "Local Area Connection" screen.
13. And right-click on the Local Area Connection and Click on Properties again
14. And after that again, below the General tab, double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
15. Select the obtain an IP address automatically
16. Click OK
17. Click OK
18. And go back to your DOS prompt, type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter. This reinstates your internet connection.
At present, the network should've assigned a fresh IP address to your PC automatically.
