The range was good overall. I was capable to connect all over my house, apart from for a small dead spot where the signal had to pass through four walls and a refrigerator. I was not expecting it to work there anyway. I got a weak signal in one of the rooms. Therefore, the signal had to go through four walls and the laundry room.

For the next test, I took the computer outside to check the range. Braving about sixteen inches of snow, I took the computer around my back garden. I got a great signal throughout my garden. The router is placed near the back of my house, so my computer was in direct sight of the router most of the time. When it was not, there was a tree blocking the view. When I moved to the front garden, the signal weakened, and I finally lost it overall. I did get a signal as far as my sidewalk, but the connection was very slow and hardly usable. To get the signal to the computer in the front garden, the router had to send the signal through three walls and my garage, and deal with the cars and the metal garage door between it and the computer.

Usually that I tested this router; I was in the similar room or very close to it. I did use it some times outside of the general area. On a daily basis I was very content with the quality of the connection I had. Some times the signal was dropped for no apparent reason, but I was able to recover it quickly. Either the connection came back on its own, or unless, resetting the computer did the trick.
