In a conventional internet work, data will be transmitted over long distances through twisted-pair copper cable, a WAN or even a LAN. As useful and usable as a twisted-pair cabling and an electrical network can fiber-optics permit information to be transferred at very higher prices. In the past when computers are shared only brief conversations between the miles of electrical networks could handle the load. But now that information is shared as never before been public, there is a clear need to enhance the capabilities of the network.
At the slowest, speed fiber optic network along much faster than T-1 or T-3. Once fiber shifts from first gear, cease to be compared. When discussing speed optical networking, will hear the change in terminology from T-1 or T-3 to OC. OC shall mean opticalcarrier.OC where T leaves off. As you can see the speed rates optical networks are not to mention their growth increased with astonishing speed. Due to Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical bandwidth will increase, because more than one stream of data can be imported into a single performance of fiber.
