Thread: Change the Domain Controller Name

1.Log in to the domain controller using an administrator account. Changing the DC name needs administrative rights.
2.Right-click on "My Computer". From the menu items, choose "Properties." This opens a configuration window.
3.Click the "Computer Name" >> Click the "Change" >>Click the "OK" button at the warning screen.
4.Rename the dialog box. Press the "OK" button. A dialog window comes out and asking you to enter the password for the domain administrator account. Enter the ID and click the "OK" button.
5.Restart the domain controller for the changes to take effect.
