Before installing DNS set PC to use a still IP address. If DNS server is allotted its IP address from a changing Host Configuration Protocol, its IP address may change. If DNS server's IP address changes, questions sent by DNS clients configured with old IP address will fail. Windows Server 2003 offers various wizards and other portions to install DNS rapidly and easily. One way of installing DNS is through server page. The Manage Your Server Page allows adding more or removing server roles like file server print DHCP server, and DNS server. The following process shows how to use Manage Server page allows adding or removing server roles.

· Go to Start menu, open Control Panel, select Administrative Tools, and select Manage Server. The Manage Your Server page starts automatically every time you log in.
· Select Add or Remove A Role.
· On Preliminary Steps page, select Next.
· On Server Role page select DNS Server, and hit Next.
· On Summary of Selections Page, hit Next.
· On Welcome To The Configure A DNS Server Wizard page, hit Finish.
· On Select Configuration Action page, select Configure Root Hints Only and then hit Next.
· On Completing The Configure A DNS Server Wizard page, hit Finish.
· On This Server Is Now A DNS Server page, hit Finish tab.
