Thread: Organize network in ubuntu

My desktop PC is not displaying any network. PC is running on Ubuntu Linux based OS. But similar OS installed on my friend PC and it was working fine. Windows PC also on the network but those were visible at that point. But there no new modifications or settings had done yet. So how come the network vanishes. And what are configuration settings for that.

Any help would be highly appriciated.

On toolbar show hits applications, places, System. If system is surrounded in red circle where we show menu and you will obtain two options, Administration and Preferences. From here you can configure network.

In network option go to Properties. Stop roaming mode showing to be enabled for text boxes. Now choose settings automatic or static IP configuration as suitable. Test this appropriately earlier than applying or else network will not work. It also occurs if workgroup is modified.
