Thread: Old Family History Program not Opening

I need some help from you that help me to open and run the old family history and that used ms-dos. . I used it in the early 1990's and have details for approx 500 people. Now using windows XP with all current updates but cannot get the program to open and run. The program was known as “Family History”.

How I open and run the “Family History”? Please help me?

I think you have been not trying this Click start-->run, type "notepad.exe" without quotes. Notepad will open. Put in the floppy disc, and let it load. Go back to notepad and click file > open and select the Floppy Drive. Just see with this whether it works or not.

Thanks very much for the great help that have been opened the disk and found the install instruction. Which I’ve printed and will try to follow, your help has been much appreciated.
