Adblock is a content filtering add-on available for Mozilla Firefox browser as well as ,.the Mozilla Application suite. It .stops elements like advertisements from being displayed or downloaded on the user's machine. You can Adblock specific images also. To do so, in the context menu that appears on clicking the Adblock link on Firefox, just click the "Adblock image option, confirm the URL and click OK. A newer version of this add-on is called Adblock Plus. It is not an upgrade but a new version as both add-ons have different authors. Although the add-on is cross-platform and independent of the operating system, it is not compatible with webother than Firefox.
