The video recordings used were created with two camcorders: a Panasonic HDC-SD9 delivered AVCHD material (resolution 1920 x 1080), and a Sony DCR-SR210E chipped in with MPEG2 material (720 x 576). Both camcorders use hard drives as their storage media. During the import, we paid special attention to AVCHD, MPEG2 and the 16:9 image formats. In video editing, we assessed the editing capabilties such
as fadeover effects and optimization tools. We also checked some important factors during output: how reliably does the program produce DVDs and Blu-ray disks? How good is the film quality? We also assessed clarity, navigation and measured the time needed for rendering.
