Thread: Scrolling software wanted

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 notebook computer. I'm an amateur musician and have files with lyrics and chords for the songs that I perform. I would like to have these files scroll up the screen at a speed of my choosing, and the scrolling speed would vary with each song depending on whether it was a fast or slow one. How can I do this?

If you're using a wheel mouse, it may be able to do the job automatically. For example, if you have a Microsoft mouse and installed the software with which it came, click Start, then Control Panel, and double-click Mouse (if you can't see the Mouse icon, click 'Switch to classic view' in the left-hand panel). Under the Buttons tab, select the dropdown list for 'Wheel button' and select Autoscroll, then click OK (this procedure may vary depending on your mouse). Now in Word, press once on the middle button (the wheel) without moving it. A scroll icon will appear - move the mouse a touch up to scroll up, and down to scroll down (move it a bit further for a faster scroll).
