When image links are opened in Tweetdeck, they appear as a popup. There is no way to save these images. It also covers up Tweetdeck and is resource intensive. As with other users who use feed readers, opening up links and images in browsers is preferable. There's an option to force Tweetdeck to open images in your default browser. Click on Settings, then on the checkbox for open photo links in web pages.
