Thread: Icons in system tray

I am using Windows XP operating system .When i start my system some icon shows in my system tray for doc. and rft files while I am not working on that it is closed, but it comes at system tray all the time, and I am not able to remove it from there. Your any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced

To remove icons in system tray you need to follow the below steps mention

1. Go to Start -> run ->Type regedit -> click ok .

2. Now Browse to the following Key

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\TrayNotify]

3. Then delete the PastIconsStream values.

4. Restart your PC and to take the changes.
