Thread: Problem using shade selector in ms paint

In my HP Pavilion dv4-1400 laptop I installed windows vista. I have issue with the color selector in ms paint. Whenever i select the color selector and try to use it on some part of the picture i get the color 1 but i am not able to see the color 2. I am not able to understand why this is happening. Kindly help me with all possible solutions to get rid of this situation.

Follow the steps which are mentioned below to get rid of this situation:

• Choose the Color Picker and Click Color 1.

• Choose a color from the Pallette and Choose Color 2.

• Choose the second color from the Pallette.

• Choose a Brush from the Brushes drop down.

• If you click on left Mouse Button, you will get Color 1.

• If you click on Right Mouse Button, you will get Color 2.

For solving this problem follow the steps below:

• Go to start and then click Run,

• Type regedit in the Open box, and after that hit ENTER.

• After this try to locate the following registry key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt Version\Applets\Paint

• Right-click the registry key, and after that click Delete.
