Thread: Computer Caught Fire

Hi

last night my mother was on her pc and started taking fire from scratch but it was fire, there was just smoke. Looks like it was just the DVD drive, they happen to save the remaining. What could be the reason or the source behind the DVD which was burned through with wires so I'm thinking of separating my dvd drive as it is nice to work with it after this incident. Please mention what are the chances and probable reason for this fire.Thanks.

The important part of the computer can start a fire is the monitor, which performce with great energies and produces lot of heat. Be sure to turn off the monitor when not in use let alone the CPU on. It is troublesome but leave monitor connected directly one should only do this if necessary. I have seen cases where the monitor was on fire for being on top with curtains paper or flammable products. Since the CPU performce with some levels of power and produces less heat and virtually not possible to catch fire even if a burst factor and it burns off rapidly as few capacitors and transformers.
