Default Establishing Nvidia woods in Red Hat

I had a system that runs on Redhat 9 and I try to install the drivers Vida. So here, I downloaded the necessary drivers and after that I am currently in init 3 mode changes. There I file NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2. I need help with setting clear that without the big mistake. What I want the driver for my GeForce 2 MX 400 64 MB on Red Hat to work properly. I am playing with this for the last two days. I read the readme from NVIDIA, but there is no help. Help for the same will be appreciated.

Go back and read Nvidia readme. This is the file where you can see the installation process. Follow or make install "SYSINCLUDE = path / to / kernel / write heads back. On my system, I had not installed the kernel sources. Since I installed the disk and ISO images of Windows on another partition. I had my share downloaded the kernel source code and unpacking. I can make mrproper monitoring was carried out correctly and is in the readme file in the process that guides me.

It is true to some extent the readme definitely can help. When you make an appropriate order that you receive the application and / ny fact. After that, only the resources that are compiled into the kernel. Red Hat in a kind of old ways of installing the drivers command can be used for system installation and configuration. And also remember that drivers can not run too new in it. Read the compatibility support it.

I just require to tell you what to do to proprietary woods. There are few unofficial woods for that too. You can try. To my noesis there is no opportunity of a good wood, if you take the official nVidia or ATI. Atleast Nvidia is better than ATI is providing drivers developed by third parties. I guess the select of ATI / NVIDIA is crucial if you require to run great games that have to run with Wine. I lately handled to set up ATI 3650 in a client system.
