Thread: I booted Ubuntu if I have a usb connected

As the title says it all: every time I try to boot ubuntu with a usb connected is I have the black screen and goes no further, for more information I have installed windows 7 and ubuntu in both 64-bit pc. Does anyone have any idea that could happen or how to fix it?

Perhaps you are doing some checking usb file system? If you connect it and boot up Windows 7 will work or it is caught? It may be something clogging BIOS as well.

You have selected in the BIOS to check the hard drive USB before, and jump to the USB before booting, change it. Is this almost certain.

Isn't that, the boot is set to be first hard disk, select the problem pops up when you start ubuntu and then gets caught.

But that is a "usb"?, A pendrive, printer If the former, I spent alone with that or with anyone? If any device with USB connection, which shows dmesg when you plug it once started? The more data we have, the easier it is to help.
