Splashup shows after starting with a bright surface like another Photoshop clone: On neutral gray is a relatively large tool palette to see the information box, the colors and the Layers palette. Upon closer look at the various functions and tools but quickly encountered the limits of Splashup. Let's start with the tools: There are only a tool for rectangular or round selectionsand a simple lasso. Unfortunately, even the selection of menu options any more, even the ability to turn the selection, is missing. Splashup also offers three molds for rectangles, ellipses and polygons. The choice of filter is very clear - only a few are for sharpening, blurring and coloringready. Few can adjust itself, and even a Gaussian blur or unsharp mask missing. There are also settings for color, contrast and saturation, and a few filter effects, is particularly extensive selection here is not.

These are available directly via the Layers palette and show, in contrast to the filters, relatively diverse settings. Layer effects can be combined and an extra line to be edited at any time.
