Default Explorer.exe is always larger in memory how to debug or get closer to the cause

Hello people, plagued me since a few months a problem on my server: explorer.exe is the bigger and I do not know what that can lie , the total amount of memory used increases this course also continues to increase. The increase is always different, but at times make it clear to the dimension: after 14 days reached the explorer.exe size 90-180 MiB - from initially around 25 MiB, now you kill the explorer.exe and restarts, the game begins again, that this be a permanent state of a server of course, should be clear, what I've already tried?

Time on an infection of the systems given some thought to start in Safe Mode and check with Hijack-This is so that everything started, on a clean system guarantees once a Linux-based Rescue CD download - Avira Rescue CD has to be there - and let the system time to examine evil, for security reasons, I would be the first iteration finds log only.

It is certainly not because you do not work on these systems, what's more, that both systems are relatively fresh install, my Server on 02.11.2010, the server of my brother on 13/02/2011, and why should just the same pest infested both systems or have different pests have the same effect, that makes no sense.

Why, may also be a worm that installed over the network itself or malicious software from a network drive, I had rather play it safe.

The system in question are in completely different networks in different cities, there is nothing to spread via network from an affected system to another in addition, both servers are behind a fli4l each router, and what should make a worm that does not cause any traffic? Twiddle my thumbs, both ports are always with Imonc monitored again, I'm sure none of my system is infected, am and where my brother and I'm pretty sure, my new server I built and installed just last year, and if so, should be based on the old system have shown the same symptoms, even if it was a Win2k.
