I have HP laptop with Nvidia graphic support. I want to change my graphics card but there are many problems if I do this. So what kind of graphic card I must use and what is its price.
1) Graphics card for laptop has neither size nor similar port for fixing card for PCs. The port is called MXM and size is smaller. Mobile PCI Express Module (MXM) is first interface reliable graphics for PCI Express notebooks. It is general to two graphics card companies, ATI and Nvidia. So, it is likely to change an ATI and Nvidia vice versa.
2) There are many forms of MXM cards. Connection does not modify, only maximum size of card differs. Graphics card set standard MXM connector same on all notebooks with MXM card. Only cards MXM type IV are somewhat different port named ET and equipped with 232-pin.
3) The inappropriateness problems are general because of many things. Such as heat sink does not fit completely. Cooling System Not friendly these two problems happened here, when we changed Nvidia 6800go by ATI x1900 mobility. A first lie with presentation maps and other is motherboard support on it.
