Thread: graphic card drivers are installed

Monitor remains on power save mode once graphic card drivers are installed

Just now I formatted hard disk after virus then I begun to re-install all my drivers all was working well till I installed graphic card drivers after they installed then PC asked me to restart. So I restart it but now when PC starts screen goes black and shows digital power saving mode. So I can’t get into bios, cant use recovery disc, system restore. Any ideas would be appreciated.

1) I have tried pushing F8 but no monitor change so can’t see anything.

2) If you have Intel graphics and are installing NVidia drivers this cause problems and displays won’t work properly. You want to connect monitor on DVI of card. Also, you want to install individual driver for monitor also, occasionally energy saving features won't rather work until you install both new video driver and monitor driver.

3) Reboot PC and see if anything appears. You have two Graphics cards so attempt to attach monitor to other graphics card and see if you get display. If that does not help try to take out one card and see if you get display.
