Thread: Graphics card / driver crashes regularly

I recently got a new graphics card in my computer. But unfortunately it is often the case, the flickers in games, the graphics in some places. Also while watching movies or TV is on the desktop it on this error.

The reaction is usually a sequence of various colors on the screen, then get the error message: "The display driver" Ati Radeon Family "has encountered a problem and had to be restarted." You find yourself on the desktop and all programs are minimized and can not be re-opened from the taskbar. In most cases the only solution is the process in Task Manager and kill the program starts.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300@2.50 Ghz
Motherboard: MSI P43 Neo (MS - 7519)

Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit version

have you because you downloaded the latest drivers from the Internet and installed? Otherwise I would recommend first. The problem occurred only on the new card? What kind of a power supply do you have? Could be that it is too weak for the new card.

Another possibility would be that the card gets too hot. Is that a passively cooled model?
