Thread: GeForce 7300 GT Driver/Hardware Problem

Hi, I'm new to the forum!

Have a problem with an old video card my friend passed to me

I replaced my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro for the GeForce 7300 GT. It could enter windows as per normal, but once I installed the drivers it gave a blue screen before entering windows (after the black screen where there's the windows xp pro logo)

I have tried a number of 'solutions'

1. go into safemode to remove all drivers, both ati and nvidia, and reinstall drivers
2. format my com
3. after formatting, using 3rd party driver removers to completely remove the drivers and tried installing older driver such as the 94.24, and tried 91.XX and the 181 betas

all these to no avail. does this mean it is a hardware issue ?

(while attempting to install various versions of the driver, in many of them the installation process is interrupted by the blue screen)


my com specs are..

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (32-bit)
Pentium 4 2.8ghz (dual)
2048 ram

not sure wad other specs are relevant.
