As the Asus EAH4890 the latest 3d graphic card being introduced by them in the market. As the Asus take on the HD4890 - the EAH4890/HTDI/1GD5/A or the EAH4890. This is the standard version of the card with all stock clocks. However, Asus has put its own turn on it by giving an option to tweak the voltage of the core for a more stable over clock. It is very good in performance and it has the option to the tweak the voltage for more use. It has the dual slot cooler with dual DVI output but it is power hogger and requires almost 600watts of power supply to it with the graphic of ATI Radeon the newest version HD 4890 and it is also called as silent video card.
OVERCLOCKING
Other XFX card that didn't had any bundled utilities like these one, Asus gives you a very helpful tool to you to get extra out of your card. Their Smart Doctor function is actually good as it lets you tweak the core and memory speeds further than to Overdrive that allows along with voltage of the core (Vcore). It also lets you to control the speed of the fan. We first tried to get the maximum overclock with the default Vcore. The card was steady at 900MHz for the core and 1GHz for the memory it effective for 4 GB. We then amplified the Vcore a bit from the default voltage (1.3v to 1.32v). And it was able to get a stable speed of 948MHz for the core while the memory stayed the similar. Increasing the voltage to the maximum level did not achieve the performance, so we didn’t change the Overclocking again.
