I have purchased a 24' LCD monitor of BenQ 2412HD. And I am using Windows Vista operating System. I tried to increase the display resolution to 1920x1080 the uppermost accessible. Although after this every time I played videos on full screen, the display suddenly goes blank and reappears with the message “DVI input”. After installing the drivers for the monitor given on a CD this occur repeatedly even when the video wasn't on. I uninstalled the drivers, and the problem is inadequate to videos again. So yesterday I reinstalled Vista and at present my nVidia card isn't shown in the device manager. It shows "Standard VGA graphics driver". I tried to uninstall driver as well as reinsert the nVidia card but still I haven't got nVidia under Device manager. I don't get the 1920x1080 resolution; I get very less resolution up to 1600x1200. And beyond it there is 2048 x 1536 which the monitor doesn't support. What should i supposed to do?
My graphics card is nVidia Fx5500. 256 MB and a 1 GB RAM please help me to resolve this monitor problem
