    Default Display Problem

I have just bought some new hardware and have assembled the PC at home. The configuration is as follows: Intel Core 2 Duo Q8200 processor, Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard, Sapphire HD 4850 1 GB GDDR3 memory, PCle HDMI graphics card, UMAX 4 GB RAM (2 x 2 GB) 800 MHz, iBall 450 W power supply, seagate 500 GB sATA HOD, LG DVD-R/W and lG 2243W 22-inch lCD Moriitor. All are brand new components, I assembled them at home with a lot of care.

The problem I am facing is that the very first time when I powered on the computer, the screen immediately appeared as garbled, pinkish, and with some random text on it, some lines, some square boxes etc. I restarted the machine again and pressed the 'DEL' key to enter motherboard BIOS. I could sense the BIOS screen being loaded but the display was as messy (garbled screen with pinkish color tone) I am stuck here and don't know what has gone wrong? I have invested a lot for this configuration and faced problem on very first boot. Please guide me what could be the reason behind this? (This screen problem appears immediately when I boot the computer and the very first display occurs on screen. HDD is still blank .(empty), and I am not able to go ahead from this point. Please help! Best Regards.

Your assembling technique seems to be fine. The problem points to the graphics card or it can also be the system memory modules which are at fault. Clean the slots and the memory and video card and install them again. If it still does not work, try changing the video card and try again.

As there is warranty on all the products, I would advise you to take the system board, CPU, memory modules and the GPU back to the dealer and have him
test and replace the faulty parts.
