Thread: monitor does not dispaly anything other than Hz ina box which moves on

I have a problem with my computer. When I switch on my computer, the monitor usually never displays anything. Sometimes it displays "Hz?" in a box which moves all around the monitor automatically. But sometimes I get a display. I am sure that I have no problem with the RAM or graphics card. My configuration is: Intel 2.9 Hz Dual Core, Intel D946GZIS motherboard, Geforce 9600 GT graphics card and 3 GB RAM. Please help me.

If you are certain that the system is working properly, make sure you have installed the drivers of the monitor and graphics card correctly. The error on your monitor states that the resolution and refresh rate output of your graphics card exceeds the monitor's capabilities and hence cannot be displayed. Reduce the display resolution of the system by booting into Safe Mode and check if the frequency of the monitor matches the settings on the graphics card monitor properties or in its manual.
