Thread: Display problem with Dell Inspiron when booting

Once you press the power button, the computer displays the black Dell boot up screen, then waits up to 2 seconds and beeps 3 times in speedy succession, and then displays a black screen that shows different hardware components that it was checking on startup.

Generally the resource conflict is because of PCI components trying to use the same interrupt in the BIOS. This is generally problem by a new component is installed that defaults to an in use interrupt. This can also be caused by multi-purpose components that use multiple interrupts.
