As on a VM you are choose of utilizing a virtual video card there. As you can see you have to run that from the start in a window mode for the virtually part.

You will detect that your options tend to be determined as a rule when in the SUN Portable Virtual Box as the native resolution here is at 1440x900 and I ended up deciding for the 1152x864 setting usable.

As i can only take the video memory to 128 MB since 256 MB is my real memory, when i acquire my new computer, which has about 2.5GB of video memory, will I be capable to increase the video memory more and thus allow wide screen and maybe even aero.

The single card used here is a 512 mb PCI model when the one you are shortly running sounds like an more previous AGP card if I have that right. You will be checking a large difference when moving up hardware wise where it won't be any big issue to set up a second display with a unity card. The card used here current isn't even a high end model excusing why it won't support over the 1440x900 resolution while others invested more in cards and see up to 1920x1600.

you are in a new made you won't have to worry about raising the video aperture in the bios there either if you have done that at all. The PCI Express cards first started off at 256mb when most now start off at 512mb with many running 1tb model cards. If you require to run all high res and across multiple displays then you will be paying a little more to get into a high end card just to cover the necessities. That will also leave some room to work with for gaming and other things.

I detected that all you have to do is install the just additions and it automatically resolve the resolution, even if you re size the window. So all i had to do was re size the window to a wide screen resolution .

I have to redo everything all over now as the Portable V Box will no longer load likely from just sitting idle to too long. First it was the three Linux distros abruptly rejecting to load up, Now the PVBox won't even load upto the start screen in order to choose the windows 7 RC installation.

The most recent Virtual Box for running that on one of the hard disks rather then on a separate flash drive to see how thing go there. After next week the completed RTM edition of the MS Virtual computer and windows XP Mode as well will be available for download being released on the same day as Windows 7! New VMs to start a new version off with.

With the Portable V Box setup here I had three distros and the 64bit windows7 RC running until recently when each of the distros abruptly failed to load when choosing the item for each. When just going to start up the windows 7 install BSOD time! The whole system crashed proposing there's a time limit on the SUN program there. As for the RTM edition of the Virual Computer and windows XP Mode I'll considering a new setup of that once I have the retail version of Ultimate on hopefully at the end of next week when things quiet down a bit.
